Isn't it pretty? Alas, it's not mine, it's Mr. L's. But he lets me hold it every now and then.
And before you think it's an unneeded accessory...Mr. L currently spends quite a few hours commuting on the train...this little pretty is better than carrying around a laptop (and/or a Kindle) and he can actually get work done on it. Easier on the eyes than the iPhone too (ever tried to read a book on the iPhone? Doable but not comfortable on a moving train).
At night though, Mr. L is kind enough to let me hold it. And play with it. And drool. And pine for my own little pretty. I can check my e-mail while dinner's cooking. I can peruse food blogs and plan future meals. I check the weather and plan the next days work outfits while watching DVR'd episodes of In Plain Sight. And I can even have the cat in my lap at the same. Something I couldn't do with a laptop.
So I just sit. And pine. And wait. For my own little pretty to arrive.
Because it will arrive.
What? You think that I'd let Mr. L get a cool new toy without me getting one of my own? Actually, Mr. L must have seen the longing in my eyes, the drool that uncontrollably appears anytime I see an iPad commercial on TV, as he surprised me and ordered me my own iPad yesterday.
Three weeks baby, just three weeks and I'll have a little pretty of my own!
Yep. The husbands a keeper.
