And if you know me, special days around here have entire seasons, so don't be surprised if the birthday party goes on for a bit. I plan on having a few give-aways (one for scrap readers, one for hockey readers and one for food readers), I've asked my Mom and Mr. L to comment on which recipes I've cooked that they've liked most. And yeah. At some point I'm going to have to come clean about all those cookbooks.
Thank you to those that have commented and those that have just read my posts and gone away. Thank you to those that have tried recipes I've posted, bought cookbooks I've highlighted or tasted recipes I've cooked. Thank you to those that have helped with Typepad problems, have mentored me on food blogging or sent articles for me to feature.
I told myself I'd give myself a year and then see if I still wanted to do this blog. I've come to realize that I really am doing this for me. I enjoy this. I'm COOKING fer crying out loud (and I have the expanding waste line to show for it). And in the meantime I get to take some family and friends along with me on this adventure. So for now I continue. And maybe next year, I'll have made a birthday cake that I could feature on my blogs birthday. For now, I leave you with a cupcake from Karas Kupcakes in SF (which I promise I will write about soon!).
