I think this is a brilliant idea. Especially if your little one is stuck at home and can't go out trick or
treating this year. Or maybe you're the one stuck at home and need
something besides answering the door to not be bored.
To make Costume Bingo even more fun, have a selection
of full sized candy bars available. If one of the kids is on your bingo board,
give them a full sized candy. If you get bingo, have a special treat
or prize for the kid that gets you bingo. Have a special prize for YOU
should you get bingo, like getting to eat one of those candy bars or drink a good glass of wine (and by all means, should you get Bingo Blackout, I
say that means you get to drink the whole bottle of wine.....).
You can go to the
Second Story Window blog
here to find free printables of these Bingo Cards (perfect for little ones). Or you can be inventive and make up some of your own for adults or older children (be sure to add costumes like Lady Gaga, Star Wars, Honey Boo Boo, Spongebob Squarepants, Zombies, any character from The Avengers and other pop culture icons). If you don't have photos, just putting words into squares will work (like "child carried to the door by parent" or "child too old to be in costume comes to door after 9PM" or "child too young to be dressed up as a slutty witch"). There should also be some sort of bonus if you run out of candy and have to turn off all the lights and watch TV in the closet. No bonus points if you get egged.
