I do not have kids, therefor I've never seen an episode of iCarly where these Spaghetti Tacos are said to have originated. But when I heard about them several months ago (and I apologize as I can't remember where) I knew they were a concoction that I needed to try.
So I contacted the Godsons Mom and mentioned that I thought this would be a perfect meal to serve on Halloween.
Thankfully the Godsons Mom is good at things like this and low and behold, when we went over there to take the kids trick or treating, Spaghetti Tacos were on the menu.
Now here's the fun part.
They were good.
No, seriously, they were really good.
All that soft spaghetti with the crunchy taco shell, totally tickled my taste buds. In fact I had more than one spaghetti taco...okay if you really want to know I had three. Even the kids liked them and went back for seconds. I realize part of that could have been the awesome spaghetti that the Godkids parents whipped up to go into the store bought taco shells, but whatever they did completely won us over.
I suggest you give it a try if you want to give your kids a little treat.Tell everyone it's kids food and the reason you are eating more than one is because you want to set a good example for the kids. It's as easy as buying some hard taco shells and filling with your favorite spagehetti recipe (ours had ground beef, tomatoes and peppers). If you're like Mr. L, you'll go way overboard and sprinkle some shredded cheese on top too!
i've actually seen the iCarly epi these were in. they look yummy!

Hah, I would have never thought of that. What could be bad about spaghetti and taco shells?

Sadly I have seen many an episode of iCarly and I have seen this episode. I actually watched it even after the kids left because it was a spoof of food cooking challenge shows and had me laughing.
Now I'm going to have to try these, Trevor would love them. Have a crabby-pattie recipe too? ha ha

I remember that was all the buzz a while back and the combination sounds delicious to me! I hadn't seen any pictures yet, and now you have me craving them. My problem is that I don't know any kids...
