OPEN HAPPINESS - In this day and age where you hear everybody and their mothers uncles songs used in advertising I'm not surprised that Coke has come out with this new ad campaign. Coke has formed a "supergroup" of Gnarls Barkley's Cee-Lo Green, Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump, Panic At
The Disco's Brendon Urie, and Gym Class Heroes' Travis McCoy and Janelle
MonĂ¡e. They've come up with a song to "uplift and inspire" and which will be featured in current advertising. To listen to the song go here (it's a MySpace page where you can not only hear the song, but read the lyrics etc). If you like the song you can even buy it off iTunes. And if you think that's a strange group of folks to get together to do a song, it's no stranger than Tinted Windows!
MORE ADS - To see some interesting Coke ads go here. The "Library" one is kinda cool and creepy at the same time. I like the hot dog 'dogs' in the Two Guys spot.
CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS - Can't say I've ever read the book "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs" but I admit the premise is kinda cute and it's received great reviews on Amazon. I was happy when Serious East posted a link to the trailer to the new movie based on the book. Cheeseburgers raining from the sky? Jello swimming pools? It looks like a fun movie for the kids (or, ahem, those adults that are kids at heart). To see the trailer go here.
WHERE FOR ART THOU ANTHONY? Rumors have it that Anthony Bourdain is up in San Francisco filming for his No Reservations show this week/weekend. What kind of strange and wonderful food will he find in the City By The Bay? And how many hordes of Bourdain fans will descend on whatever places he decides to film about after the show airs? Not that I would do such a thing. Just because I had a deep fried twinkie in the same spot he did in Vegas does not mean I'm an Anthony junkie! Wait...I did order fries like he did at Bouchon...sigh...okay, what can I say, I'm a fan....
if tony came to my city (or anywhere near me), i'd hunt him down. and that movie sounds pretty enticing. :)

have you seen the episode on the Philippines? didn't air here, but it's been broadcast that he found his best pig in Cebu.

Grace - giggle, yeah, I'd probably go looking for him if he was here in San Jose.
Kai - Loved that Philippines episode. Made my husband watch. Told him we had to find pig like that somewhere even if it meant going to Cebu!
