GIVE ME THE COCOA - I don't know about the rest of you, but around this time of year the hot chocolate drinking kicks into overdrive. What is it about the holidays that makes me change from drinking coffee to cocoa? And while I'll drink coffee anytime it's put in front of me, it's not something I brew at home at night while trimming the tree. But hot cocoa? It just seems to fit. Several years ago Mr. L and I bought some big Christmas mugs from Starbucks during the holiday season and we pretty much use those year round for our cocoa. I saw the one pictured here for sale at our local Starbucks last week and it took a lot of effort not to buy them just to have around. I love that they have red insides. Go here for more info.
COFFEE DISCOUNT - Not only do we own Starbucks Christmas mugs but we also have Starbucks Christmas ornaments. If you have a Starbucks fanatic in your midst, you might want to check out the goodies for sale at your local Starbucks. They make great stocking stuffers. Not to mention that between December 9th and December 15th, you will receive a 20% discount on all merchandise and whole bean coffee you buy (company owned and participating stores only). If you happen to have one of those nifty Starbucks Gold cards like I do, you can receive an additional 10% off. Offer does not include fresh foods, beverages, newspapers, magazines or discount cards. I think my friends might be getting some whole bean coffee under the tree this year. For more info go here.
SEEING RED - Don't forget that through January 2nd, every time you buy a Peppermint Mocha Twist, Gingersnap Latte or an Espresso Truffle from Starbucks they will donate 5 cents from the sale to the Global Fund, which was established in 2002 to finance programs to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria worldwide. For more information go here.
CHRISTMAS COOKIES - I keep saying I'm going to make sugar cookies for Christmas but I never have the time. I find virtual cookies, must easier to decorate, though less tasty. To try your hand at decorating some computer cookies go here.
hehe...the cookie decorating thing was fun..

Yeah, the cookie part was fun. But I think I messed up the end. The coffee cup is cute but I quit saving coffee cups. I have tons. But I sure do love hot cocoa, especially with marshmallow. You loved it when you were very very young. LOL

Veron - I was just as horrible at the game as I am trying to decorate cookies in real life.
Mom - Hot Cocoa as a kid was the next best thing to getting to drink some of your coffee :)
Barbie - Cute huh? They always seem to come up with cute mugs for Christmas

Noble - Aren't they? I would have bought one for myself this morning if my hubby wasn't with me and reminded me we have a ton of coffee mugs in storage because we have no room...sigh.
