STOP THE PRESSES!!!!! We interrupt your Monday morning to bring you the most exciting news...STARBUCKS IS KEEPING THE SANDWICHES!!!! Yes, to most of you this probably isn't earth shattering news, but to Mr. L and I who depend on this quick and easy sandwich when we are lazy hungry on weekend mornings, this is great news. For those that have stopped going to Starbucks because the smell of the sandwiches was to much (don't even go there with me) Starbucks will be "retooling" the sandwich with a new type of "non-smelly" cheese and less butter on the eggs. Alas, this last bit of information does make me a bit nervous, as does this line in the news story "The company may try to change the products enough to market them as distinct from the original sandwiches." ORANGE MANGO - I finally was able to get one of the Orange/Mango/Banana Vivanno's this past weekend and it wasn't bad. Much more like a "smoothie" to me. I can see ordering one on those hot summer mornings when even my beloved sandwich would be too much. Both Mr. L and I picked up our free Vivanno on Saturday because we are registered card members. Here's hoping we get free sandwiches when they "retool" the formula.

I hope you know I talked to every friend I knew that worked for Starbucks HQ and told them to keep the sandwiches.

I was munching on a Starbucks hungarian sausage eggs and cheese on ciabatta when I opened this page, talk about web synchronization. But Starbucks in the Philippines outsource all pastries, I think, and just warm them to serve. So focus is still on the coffee and other drinks, although sometimes we just go to SB just for the cakes.
