I made my Orange Drop Doughnuts specifically to participate in the Time To Make The Donuts Event. Making donuts for the first time was very cool and I was excited to see what other donut concoctions every one else came up with.
Wow, I never knew there were so many great donut recipes out there! Bloggers who participated made cake, yeast, shaped, fried, baked, glazed, coated, sprinkled, filled, frosted, vegan, sweet, savory, easy and difficult donuts! There were cheese donuts, pumpkin, chocolate, lemon ricotta, apple, banana, sweet potato and squash. There were donuts from all over the world with strange names I have no idea how to pronounce.
Please go check out Peabody's round up here and Tartelettes round up here and here. I dare you not to crave a donut after checking out all these recipes!
You also must go check out Eliza's blog Notes From My Food Diary. She made the same Orange Drop Doughnuts I did but oh man, she has the best photographs of hers. Be careful though, you might end up spending a lot of time looking at her gorgeous photography and drooling over her tasty recipes. She has a great blog so check it out here.
As for my favorite? Tough decision but Mr. L and I think maybe some Apple Fritters from the blog The Picky Apple might be in our future. The recipe looks simple and the finished product looks very very yummy! Check out her blog here where you'll find the recipe for the fritters along with many other great looking dishes.
thanks for dropping by too Mrs L! :) i haven't been able to cast my vote on my fave yet!

Thanks so much for mentioning my apple fritters on your blog! I love apple fritters, and although they turned out good, they still weren't exactly like the ones I get from the local donut shop. Let me know how they turn out for you.
