I am a lover of hot foods. A pizza isn't a pizza without jalapenos, and eggs just cry out for some Tabasco (as do hash browns). I think I need to make room in our hot sauce cupboard at home (because you know we have an assortment) to try these Halloween Hot Sauces. The fact that each of these sauces can be bought nestled in their own coffin? Makes it a perfect Halloween present (whaaa, you guys don't give out presents for Halloween???).
Each Halloween Hot Sauce 5 oz. bottle is wrapped in a "creepy, vintage apothecary-style label and comes topped with a scrap of “burial cloth” that has been securely tied with a toe-tag". There are three versions: The Spider Venom Hot Sauce (jalapeno peppers) is heat level mild; The Bloody Bat Hot Sauce (cayenne peppers) is heat level medium; and the Grinning Skull Hot Sauce (habanero peppers) is heat level hot. To buy 5 oz bottles individually will cost you $7.95 each. To buy them in a coffin will run you about $18 each. You can buy all three for about $20 or in a coffin for about $40.
I think these bottles are incredibly clever. In the crazy competitive world of hot sauces, the label and packaging sometimes is the only thing that makes the sauce stand out. The folks at Halloween Hot Sauce have excelled in making their sauces something I'd love to try and have sitting on my Halloween dinner table. You can check out their website here.
