Wow has it been three years already? It seems cooking time has flown by since those first posts of Fresh Margaritas, Chicken Enchiladas with Creamy Green Sauce and Individual Lemon Cheesecakes.
Yes, cooking is still fun. I still enjoy trying out new recipes, though I admit that it can be a bit overwhelming with all those cookbooks, TV food shows, and cooking magazines not to mention food blogs to cook from. I'm actually scrapping more than I was a year ago today. And hockey. Sigh. Still following hockey though my heart is a bit heavy and still in morning for my teams cut short season. As any team that doesn't come out on top says...next year.
And yes, the blog is still fun. I admit I haven't put much effort into it ascetically. Haven't worked on my food photography. Haven't updated the look. Haven't redone my header. I keep forgetting to post scrapbook layouts I've completed. Haven't posted reviews of local restaurants. And if I haven't done something to upgrade the blog or make it better it's only because life outside the blog is more important. The blog only exists while keeping it up and maintaining it is fun.
Thanks to all of you that have commented and those that have just read my posts and gone away. Thank you to those that have tried recipes I've posted, bought cookbooks I've highlighted or tasted recipes I've cooked. Thank you to those that have helped with Typepad/Facebook/Twitter/iPhone problems, have mentored me on food blogging, given me recipes to try or sent articles for me to feature. Thank you for being a part of my blog life.
Someone asked me last year when I wrote "We Turn Two" why I used the plural 'we'. Isn't it my blog? Yep, I may do all the work, but Mr. L, my family and friends have a lot to do with what goes on in this blog. So a big thanks to them. The fourth year of Pages, Pucks and Pantry has been dubbed "The year of the food". So who knows where that may take me and you, my readers. So many recipes to try, and not enough time to make them. That doesn't mean I'm not going to try.
Totally loving sharing the ride with you, Mrs. L!

Congratulations on three good years. On to the fourth. With our Sharks gone, I am all about the food.

I just stumbled across your blog... LOVE your tagline! Although I think you need to add a few hockey pucks to the background graphic
;-)

Happy three!
I'd like to work on my header too....I just can't seem to settle in with it. My photography has gotten a tad better though. I think.
Glad you're not giving up on blogging though. I still love it and learn new things every day.

Well, sweetie pie, I am so proud of you and your blog so happy third birthday. My day would not be complete without checking to see what you have on your blog. Of course, I have benefited from it as I have had a lot of great little tidbits to taste and benefit from. The avocado pie is still one of my favorites along with the picadillo you made me for my Mother's Day gift. Yummy! So congrats and keep up the very good and fantastic job. I am so very proud of you! I also enjoy the hockey stuff and scrapbooking stuff. Mom
