SUPER STADIUM - So you're sitting around trying to figure out what to make for your Superbowl party. You realize your pantry consists of about 5 dozen Twinkies (you were planning to make that Twinkie- Misu right?), several cans of Vienna Sausages, some cheese, a few Slim-Jims, a pound of bacon and many bags of salty snacks. What the heck do you make with that?
The geniuses at HolyTaco.com have come up with this Snack Food Stadium. Though I know this has already made the rounds of most food blogs, I had to post the link to this on mine as I think this is brilliant. Not to mention it has bacon. And Twinkies. If I'd had the time and money, I would have made this. Seriously. Brilliant. For in depth instructions and cool photos of how this was made go here. PLEASE NOTE: Holy Taco may not be for every ones taste...not safe for work...may not be politically correct...women may throw things at the screen etc., but they made a very cool snack stadium so venture at your own risk. (Needless to say if I put what I really think or what they really post I may have strange folks finding this site after putting in certain words into a search engine so figure it out).
OATMEAL ROUNDUP - I had posted about trying the new Starbucks Oatmeal here. I still haven't tried Jamba Juices new oatmeal but in one taste test it came out on top. To check out in what order your favorite fast food oatmeal came in at (they tried six types) go here. Thanks to Serious Eats New York for doing the work for us.
3D ADS - Though I used to watch every Superbowl faithfully, hockey has kind of taken over as my sport of choice. Since I rarely watch a football game these days, unless the 49ers are in the Superbowl (stop laughing) I tend to not care which two teams are playing. That doesn't mean I don't care who wins, it just means that if I'm actually watching the game, I'm watching the commercials. This year, I'm probably going to root for the Steelers (I did watch and cheer for their win in 80, cuz the LA Rams were evil). But mostly, I'll be paying attention to the ads. I hear that a couple of them will be in 3D this year, but I have yet to pick up a pair of 3D glasses. For info on where to get the glasses, which ads will be in 3D and when they will be shown go here. And as always, may it be a close game with great plays, may the food you snack on during the game be championship worthy and may the ads make you want to go out and buy something.
