365 WAYS TO COOK CHICKEN - Simply the Best Chicken Recipes You'll Find Anywhere by Cheryl Sedaker
This cookbook has a copyright of 1986. I received it as a Valentines present in February of 1995 from my Grandma D. I have cooked from this before.
You'll notice in the photo that there are a ton of post it's marking recipes I want to try. I've actually only made two or three recipes from this book, but they've all been good and I plan on making more.
The book is divided into many chapters each dealing with a different way to cook chicken. Standard chapters like Appetizers, Soups, Casseroles, along with Chicken Lite, Chicken and Pasta, American Classics, Chicken and Fruit stc. There are no photos in this book. The recipes run two to a page. No very out there ingredients, pretty simple instructions.
Most of these recipes are pretty simple and easy to read. This is a great book to use if you have some chicken and are looking for something to do with it. Obviously with that many recipes there is a lot of variety. I've used this book a couple of times when I've had some chicken and had no idea what to cook. Most of the recipes also take less than an hour to prep and cook. It makes it easy to get dinner on the table quickly. You won't find "gourmet" recipes, just basic good chicken recipes.

Unfortunately most people only read the chapter that says "Put this book down and go to Kentucky Fried." ;) So what have you tried? What's your favorite? This is weird because I just went to the grocery store this morning and got two packs of chicken breasts. Weird, because I usually get my protein from fish... but wanted a change. Now I need something to DO with it...

It really is a great book to go "oh, I have some chicken breasts with bones, what can I cook"? The ones I remember are the one in the next post, Baked Garlic-Thyme Chicken and some sort of casserole. I do plan on trying more though.

Yum! I do love to start with a whole bird and then break it down into meals. The first is generally easy, but this book would help with the second or third.

I've had this cookbook for years and finally made something from it tonight ... Banana Stuffed Rum Runner Chicken. It was good!
