MORE FREE ICE CREAM - I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but it's been pretty dang hot here. We pay extra to live in the Bay Area to have "nice" weather. I thought that only meant horrible heat a few times during the summer...not in the middle of spring. Even walking from an air-conditioned car to the house is difficult. Of course back in the days when I owned a black car without air-conditioning and a non-air conditioned house, I was acclimated to the heat. Not so much anymore.
So if you are anywhere in the US and in the middle of a heat wave, you might want to see if you need to go shopping at your nearest Wal-Mart. Seems Sunday May 18th from 11 AM to 4 PM you can get a free ice cream sundae sample from the Wal-Mart frozen food section. To find out more go here. I've read that you can get your choice of toppings on your free sundae which include Edy's Loaded Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Smucker's Triple Berry Sauce, Breyers Chocolate Crackle among many others.
Around here, the high for Sunday is supposed to be 88 degrees. Though I probably won't be headed anywhere near a Wal-Mart I think I may need to get me some ice cream to help cool off.
Free ice creams? Cool! Unfortunately here in Chile it's freezing so I don't think there's any ice creams for me!

Bleh to you and your wonderul 88 degrees! We have been in the 90's for weeks and it is crap! LOL. I didn't sign up for this! Well, except that by moving to Texas maybe we did! I too hate when the weather gets too hot, too fast, throws off your groove! Enjoy some ice cream and the AC!

During the heat this last week I quitely celebrated a success in our family with a lovely ice-cream cone at an actual ice-cream parlor. Its been years since I've stepped foot in such an establishment, and I quickly wondered, "why not?!" Perhaps I need to take my kids to Fentons in Oakland just so they know what incredible magic a well established ice-cream parlor can be!
