NO STARBUCKS!? - If you make a habit of dropping by your local Starbucks after work, don't be surprised to find them closed this evening. 7100 Starbucks across the nation will be closed for a "company-wide retraining session on how to make drinks". I guess this means if you get up tomorrow on the West coast, have a Starbucks, then travel to the East coast and have another Starbucks coffee...they should taste exactly the same. Or maybe this means that if I go into a certain Starbucks (which will remain nameless) and request a decaf latte I won't be bouncing off the walls ten minutes later because the girl behind the counter was paying to much attention to the cute boy that just walked in and gave me caffeine? The closure is from 5:30 to 8:30 your local time.
BECAUSE RACHEL SAYS SO - But you absolutely NEED to have someone else make some coffee for you today? Try your local Dunkin' Donuts. Today from 1 PM to 10 PM most Dunkin' Donuts will be selling their small lattes, cappuccinos or espressos for 99 cents. Actually some McDonald's and even some independent coffee shops are either giving away coffee or having a sale while Starbucks is closed so if you need a coffee fix or just want to try something different take a look at your local coffee places for deals.
OSCAR SPAM - Okay, you know I love my Spam...but I admit I was surprised to see an ad for Spam during the Oscars. Something about a $30,000 Versace dress and a Spamburger just seemed kind of awkward to me. Though you know if I had on those million dollar Stewart Weitzman shoes, I'd stop at the Spammobile if they were giving away free Spam samples!

Except that Diablo Cody did not wear the shoes. She did not like it.

OK, now that is some good marketing! To give away free or cheap coffe when starbucks closes down. Very smart! And the lady seriously didnt waer the shoes??? What a slap in the face to the designer!

You have some fun ideas on your blog here. I did hear that about Starbucks and think it is funny that DD is taking advantage. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Miranda - Yeah, I liked Bernier, I hate when they trade players even if I like the ones they are traded for.
Shannon - No, she didn't wear them, she wore this really tacky gold flats instead...they did go with her outfit though.
Barbie-You and many others didn't know and got caught without their Starbucks fix. And I agree, the million dollar shoes weren't that pretty but better than the flats she wore.
Gretchen-You too, have a cool blog!
